Caribbean Airlines will introduce daily non-stop service between Toronto and Georgetown, Guyana, starting July 1, 2026, according to multiple local news outlets. The airline frames the expansion as a response to growing travel demand between Canada and Guyana and as a way to improve connectivity for business, leisure, education and family travel. Reports say the move adds seating capacity and offers passengers more flexibility, particularly during the peak summer travel period.

Several outlets describe Guyana as one of Caribbean Airlines’ most important and fastest-growing markets. The new schedule is also expected to support travel by members of the Guyanese diaspora in Canada, along with tourism, trade and other economic activity between the two countries.

Under the announced schedule, flight BW616 departs Georgetown for Toronto at 9:20 am daily, while the return flight BW617 departs Toronto for Georgetown at 4:50 pm daily. Tickets are available through Caribbean Airlines’ website, mobile app, reservations centre, ticket offices and travel agents, as stated by the outlets.
