Ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21, the Delhi government announces support arrangements for candidates’ families at exam venues. District administrations are directed to set up “cooling zones” and waiting areas near each of the 97 examination centres in the national capital, where parents and guardians typically spend extended time while candidates take the test. The facilities are described as including seating arrangements and clean drinking water, along with refreshments such as shikanji and tea. The government also plans to provide oral rehydration solution (ORS) and first-aid facilities, along with other essential amenities. The initiative is intended to help accompanying family members wait more comfortably and safely during exam hours.
In addition to the cooling zones, Delhi also announces free travel arrangements for NEET candidates on Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses to reduce transportation-related difficulties on exam day. The measures are presented as steps to create a more supportive, stress-free environment for students appearing in the re-examination.
