One outlet reports that INEC moves election materials to the state’s 16 local government areas, while another describes ad-hoc staff and materials arriving early to support a smooth start at polling units. Coverage also emphasizes the scale of polling logistics, noting there are 2,445 polling units across 177 wards in Ekiti.
In addition, a separate report says INEC sets the stage for the election by distributing sensitive materials starting June 20 and that voter registration rises to 1,059,360 ahead of the vote.
The election will determine the next governor of Ekiti State, where current Governor Biodun Oyebanji is seeking re-election.
