A 23-year-old nursing student is found dead in her apartment in Anambra State, and police arrest her landlord as they investigate suspected foul play. Reports identify the student as Chiamaka Chilaka, an ND II student at the College of Nursing Sciences, Alor. According to accounts, she is discovered lifeless on Sunday after a church service in a residence located in Uruezeani, Alor, within Idemili South Local Government Area. Media and online reports circulate that the deceased had rejected repeated unwanted advances from her landlord and was last seen having an altercation with him. Police confirm the landlord’s arrest and say he is undergoing interrogation. The Anambra State Police Command says visible injuries are observed on the body, including a deep cut on the thigh, other marks of violence, and blood stains at the scene, prompting concern for violence beyond a suspected dispute. The case is transferred for further handling, with the Commissioner of Police ordering a full-scale investigation. The body is deposited in a mortuary pending an autopsy. Police say they will pursue leads and ask anyone with useful information to come forward.
