Former Osun State governor and African Democratic Congress (ADC) national secretary Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola tells Ekiti voters that Nigeria is at a critical moment and urges them to use their votes to change the country’s direction. He makes the remarks on Thursday at the ADC’s mega final rally at the party secretariat in Ado-Ekiti, ahead of the Saturday, June 20, 2026 governorship election.

At the rally, Aregbesola links the call to current economic hardship and governance challenges faced by Nigerians, and he asks women, youths and other eligible voters not to stay away from the polls. He also expresses confidence that the ADC will win the election.

ADC governorship candidate Ambassador Dare Bejide says an ADC-led administration would fulfil campaign promises if elected, and he calls on residents to turn out in large numbers. Speakers at the event, including party leaders and stakeholders, also reference the need for citizens—particularly youth—to vote using their Permanent Voter Cards, describing the ballot as the main avenue to demand better governance. The reports also mention some claimed difficulties in securing public facilities for earlier campaigns, with the party saying it will not affect its chances.
