Kala Hiran producer Amit Jani says he receives two death threats within a 24-hour period, prompting him to file complaints with police in Jodhpur ahead of the film’s release. In statements posted online on June 19, Jani alleges the first threat came earlier after he lodged a complaint, involving a caller he said identified as “Pakistani terrorist Shahzad Brahmadag Bugti.” He also claims that later the same night, around 11:06 pm, he received another call threatening to kill him within three days. Jani further alleges that the second caller claimed to be a fan of actor Salman Khan. He describes the second threat as arriving soon after the first case was registered and requests authorities to register a new case and arrest the person issuing the threats.
The allegations add to ongoing publicity and legal disputes around Kala Hiran. Sources also note that Salman Khan has moved the Delhi High Court seeking an injunction and removal of promotional material, arguing the film relates to his blackbuck poaching case. Jani has previously rejected those claims, saying the project is not a Salman Khan biopic and draws from publicly available information, including matters related to wildlife protection.
