The court directs him to appear in person at the next hearing on June 22, 2026, according to multiple outlets.
The case stems from an incident on December 4, 2024, when crowding occurred during the premiere/benefit screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre. One woman reportedly dies, and her 9-year-old son is reported to have suffered serious injuries and been admitted to hospital. The investigation focuses on alleged failures in crowd management and security arrangements during the event.
While Arjun was reportedly arrested and later granted interim and anticipatory bail, the current proceedings involve compliance with court orders and the appearance requirement. Sources also report that, so far, there is no official public statement from Arjun or his legal team about the summons.
