Palaniswami-led AIADMK opposes the Vijay-led government, but its rebel faction led by S. P. Velumani declares support to the TVK.
Separate reporting earlier shows that government formation remained uncertain until VCK—an ally associated with the Left parties—ultimately extends unconditional support to TVK, with Thol Thirumavalavan citing the aim of preventing President’s rule and maintaining political stability. VCK communicates its decision in a manner that allows it to remain within the DMK alliance framework while not joining the cabinet, according to reports. TVK, which holds 108 seats, seeks to secure a majority and proceed with forming the government.
