Indian passport, visa and attestation services in the United Arab Emirates are set to remain suspended for five days from June 26 to June 30, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai announce. The suspension is linked to the Indian government’s transition to a new outsourced service provider for consular services. The current providers—BLS International for passport and visa services and SGIVS Global for attestation services—will stop accepting new applications after close of business on June 25, which means routine appointments for passport, visa and attestation services will not be available during the June 26–30 period.

During the transition, emergency consular services (including passport, visa and attestation) will continue to be provided directly by the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, and the Consulate General of India, Dubai. The new provider, Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC, is scheduled to begin delivering these services across the UAE from July 1, 2026. The missions also indicate that a new online appointment portal will be launched on July 1. Indian nationals in the UAE are advised to follow only official updates from the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai.
