Instagram is expanding “Instagram for TV” to Samsung Smart TVs in the United States, Meta announces. The Instagram TV app, which previously launched on Amazon Fire TV and rolled out to Google TV, is now available nationwide on Samsung televisions. The feature brings Instagram content to a living-room interface, allowing viewers to scroll through Instagram content such as Reels and Stories on a larger screen. Meta also says the TV experience includes Instagram Stories and channels designed to match viewer interests and support creators, using the TV format for consumption without requiring a phone or mobile device. The expansion follows an earlier rollout: Engadget notes the app appears roughly six months after it launched on Amazon Fire TV. While the app is new on Samsung sets, sources agree it builds on the same core concept already offered on Amazon Fire TV and Google TV, extending Instagram’s TV presence to another major smart TV platform. Meta’s release positions the update as additional availability across connected-TV ecosystems rather than a change to the underlying Instagram content features.
