SpaceX signs a multibillion-dollar computing agreement with AI startup Reflection AI, expanding the company’s role as a provider of data-center capacity for external AI labs. Multiple outlets report that Reflection will pay SpaceX about $150 million per month for access to Nvidia GB300 chips hosted in SpaceX’s Colossus 2 data center near Memphis, Tennessee. The payments are set to begin July 1, 2026, following a ramp period, and are expected to run through 2029, putting the total value of the contract at roughly $6.3 billion. Reflection is described as an open-source AI lab founded by former Google DeepMind researchers Misha Laskin and Ioannis Antonoglou. Under the deal, Reflection receives computing power to train and run its models and avoids building its own large-scale data-center infrastructure. The agreement also places Nvidia hardware on both sides of the transaction: Nvidia chips purchased for SpaceX are used by Reflection, while Nvidia is also reported to have invested in Reflection. Reporting frames the contract as part of a broader trend of major compute demand being met through hyperscaler-linked capacity rather than standalone infrastructure.
