CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation results released on June 22 report that Ranchi student Avni Kejriwal has improved her score to a perfect 500/500. Kejriwal, a Commerce student at DPS in Ranchi, initially received around 94% (reported as 95.2% and also as 94% across outlets) when results were first declared in May. She then applied for verification of marks and re-evaluation under CBSE’s post-result review mechanism. According to the reports, the re-checking was carried out in stages and led to an upward revision of her marks, adding about 24 points overall. The revised marks are reported as 100/100 in her subjects, with no marks deducted after re-evaluation. NDTV and other outlets also describe her as a Jharkhand or state topper following the revised results. One outlet further notes she had earlier reductions in English and Business Studies and that she sought re-evaluation after believing her performance warranted a higher score. Together, the accounts present Kejriwal’s outcome as an example of how CBSE’s re-evaluation process can change final results after initial evaluation.
