In the top of the 10th, Joey Ortiz drives in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly. The rally begins when Garrett Mitchell draws a walk, followed by Sal Frelick bunting to move Mitchell along the basepaths. Jake Bauers is then used as a designated runner and is placed in scoring position as the inning continues. From there, Ortiz’s sacrifice fly brings in the run needed for Milwaukee’s second run, which ultimately proves to be the winning score.
Cincinnati is unable to equalize in the extra inning, and the Brewers hold on for the 2-1 win.
