BTS’ fifth studio album, “Arirang,” is being recognized by several major music publications as one of the best albums released in the first half of 2026, according to Big Hit Music and reports from multiple outlets. The album is listed in mid-year roundups by U.S. and U.K. media, including Complex (June 12), The Telegraph (June 13), Rolling Stone (June 15), and NME (June 16). Rolling Stone highlights BTS’ return and says the group “showcased their Korean roots” with “Arirang,” while NME describes BTS as “the biggest boy band in the world,” and The Telegraph calls the group “the face of K-pop.” Separate coverage also links the recognition to BTS’ ongoing “Arirang” world tour. The group held two concerts in Busan, South Korea on June 12–13. It is scheduled to begin the European leg in Madrid on June 26–27, with 10 shows planned across five cities.
