Adani Mundra Airport begins commercial operations with scheduled passenger services operated by regional airline Star Air. Multiple outlets report that the first scheduled routes connect Mundra with Mumbai and Goa, with an inaugural flight arriving from Goa on the day operations start. Star Air is also set to expand its network from Mundra, with additional routes planned or announced to several cities including Surat, and further destinations such as Hindon, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur, and Nanded, according to company statements carried by the reports. The airport is described as having been developed to support both passenger and cargo activity, including a runway approximately 1,900 metres long and a newly built terminal with facilities such as check-in counters, passenger lounges, and food services, along with accessibility features. The airport’s backers frame the launch as improving travel time and creating stronger connectivity for the Kutch region. They link the service to broader regional logistics and business goals, including integration with Mundra Port and the Mundra special economic zone (SEZ), and expect enhanced access to national and global supply chains. The airport is positioned as part of the Adani Group’s wider aviation footprint.
