Pune Rural Police reclassify the June 18 death of 25/26-year-old Ketan Vishal Agarwal at Lohagad Fort as an alleged murder, arresting his fiancée, Siya Praveen Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Babulal Chaudhary. Police say Goyal initially told investigators that Agarwal slipped and fell into a gorge while the couple visited the fort, leading to registration of an accidental death case. After Agarwal’s family raised suspicions and investigators examined electronic and other evidence, the case shifts to a murder probe. Police claim Goyal and Chaudhary conspired to kill Agarwal because his scheduled marriage to her was allegedly seen as an obstacle, and they had a prior relationship. Investigators allege Chaudhary was present near the spot and that he followed the couple, after which Agarwal was pushed off the fort, causing his death. Both Goyal and Chaudhary are arrested, and police say further investigation is underway.

Agarwal’s father, Vishal Agarwal, also makes additional allegations about an earlier attempt on his son’s life during a June 14 trip and demands action against other family members, though police have not confirmed those claims. The case also attracts social media confusion involving the unrelated Pune Porsche crash due to similar names.
