Meta Platforms has unveiled a new line of AI-powered smart glasses developed in partnership with eyewear company EssilorLuxottica. The glasses, branded as “Meta Glasses,” build on features from Meta’s earlier Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta devices but are now sold under Meta’s own brand and priced lower. Reports indicate three frame styles are offered, including a slim oval design made in collaboration with Kylie Jenner. Pricing starts at $299, while the Kylie Jenner-linked model is listed at $399.
The Meta Glasses include a 12-megapixel camera. Sources also describe support for hands-free functions such as live translation, contextual assistance, and multimodal interactions, powered by Meta’s Muse Spark AI model. Wired and other outlets also note that the devices include microphones and an AI chatbot, with the camera specifications broadly consistent with the Ray-Ban Meta lineup. Hardware details reported across outlets include adjustable fit features such as three-way nose pads, adjustable temple tips, and overextension hinges, plus a dedicated action button for quick access to on-glasses features. The glasses go on sale immediately, according to outlet coverage.
