Devina Gahlot, daughter of BJP MLA and former Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot, is reported to secure All India Rank 1 in the CUET (UG) 2026. Multiple outlets say the National Testing Agency (NTA) announces the results on Tuesday, and Devina is listed as achieving the top position nationwide with the highest aggregate NTA score. Hindustan Times and Times of India describe her achievement as topping the examination, while Hindustan Times also notes she says she did not expect to finish first despite having good expectations about her performance.

In interviews and reported quotes, Devina says she repeatedly checked her result after initially seeing it, expressing disbelief at the top rank. She attributes her performance to discipline and consistency, and says her preparation focused on studying each subject daily, regular revision, and solving previous years’ question papers. She also recalls the early preparation phase after board examinations as challenging due to uncertainty about what to study. She credits support from her parents and teachers, and says they did not apply pressure.

After the result, she expresses interest in pursuing English Honours and leaves open the possibility of entering social work and potentially politics.
