Haryana Police have arrested two people in connection with allegations that a forensic report is being fabricated in relation to a viral video involving Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. According to the Haryana complaint, the accused are allegedly coerced and offered money to create a report claiming the video is not authentic. One report says the accused received about Rs 10 lakh from officials linked to Punjab, as described by police. The matter escalates amid political dispute over both the origin of the video and the authenticity of the proposed findings. Mann has denied the video’s authenticity and describes it as part of a conspiracy. The Punjab AAP and other supporters have criticized Haryana Police action, alleging it is politically motivated and that attention should be on where the video came from rather than on a purported report-fabrication plot. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party has accused Mann of suppressing related allegations and of allegedly misusing state machinery. Police proceedings are ongoing as authorities investigate the claims and the alleged involvement of officials and intermediaries.
