Alstom’s joint venture with Indian Railways renews a loco maintenance contract for a five-year term covering 250 WAG-12B electric locomotives at Alstom’s Nagpur depot. Business Standard reports the renewed agreement is valued at €107 million. The work focuses on maintenance of the specified locomotive fleet located at the depot, under the existing arrangement between Alstom and its Indian Railways joint venture.

Swarajya reports that the contract is worth around Rs 1,150 crore, describing it as an agreement to maintain the same number of WAG-12B locomotives at the Nagpur depot. While the outlets present the contract value in different currencies, both accounts describe the same core scope: renewal of a maintenance contract, the locomotive class involved (WAG-12B), the fleet size (250 units), and the location (Nagpur depot).
