The National Housing Authority (NHA) provides a P2.266-million condominium unit to the family of the late Ateneo de Manila University men’s basketball player Rene Clert “Bobet” N. Baterbonia. The family is based in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur, and the NHA assistance is described as a housing grant approved by the agency’s management. According to reports, the unit is located at Madayaw Residences along Sierra Madre Road in Bangkal, Davao City.
Local officials in Agusan del Sur say the NHA contacted the provincial governor and informed him that the grant had been approved, citing a directive from NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai. NHA representatives from Region XIII are reported to have visited the Baterbonia family as part of the process of delivering or confirming the housing assistance.
