Carolina Hurricanes general manager Eric Tulsky says top-line forward Seth Jarvis is expected to miss four to six months following shoulder surgery performed after the team’s Stanley Cup title run. Tulsky indicates the recovery timeline could extend into the start of next season. He adds that Jarvis underwent the procedure to address a long-running shoulder issue, after spending time on strengthening and rehabilitation to manage the problem through the championship playoffs.
Tulsky also reports that fourth-line forward Eric Robinson had knee surgery. Robinson’s recovery is expected to take roughly six to eight weeks. According to Tulsky, no other players are currently scheduled for surgeries following the roughly two-month playoff run, suggesting the Hurricanes’ offseason medical updates at this stage are limited to Jarvis and Robinson.
