Delhi Police arrest a 32-year-old YouTuber, Gurman Singh, accused of deliberately colliding with women riders and minor girls on public roads and then filming their reactions without consent for social media content. Police say the accused, who uses the handle “Road Safety Wala,” targets women who are either driving two-wheelers or travelling as pillion passengers, including minors. Authorities allege he intentionally bumps into their vehicles and then immediately apologises, reportedly saying “Sorry didi,” to make the incident appear accidental. The videos are said to be secretly recorded and later uploaded online to attract views.
The case comes after multiple complaints, including one from a father whose minor daughters were allegedly involved in such an incident and whose family later found videos of the girls posted on the accused’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Police state that Gurman Singh is accused of aiming for viral reach and monetisation through platform advertising. Investigators have examined content from his social media accounts and conducted digital forensics, and they recovered his mobile phone as part of the probe. An FIR is registered under relevant provisions including the POCSO Act, and police continue to identify potential additional victims and remove accounts linked to the allegations.
