Air India is reviewing its overseas flight schedules after conditions in parts of the Middle East improve, CEO Campbell Wilson said. The airline attributes the potential changes to calmer regional circumstances that open up more airspace and reduce costs, alongside a decline in international jet fuel prices.

Earlier this year, Air India cut back on select international routes between June and August. The cuts were linked to airspace restrictions over parts of the Middle East and to record-high international jet fuel prices. With the airspace environment improving and fuel costs easing, the airline is now considering whether to reinstate some of the reduced international services.

The company has not specified which destinations, exact frequencies, or the timing of any restoration. However, the review indicates Air India is adjusting capacity in response to the evolving operating environment and cost conditions that affected flights during the peak restriction period.
