Delhi continues to experience intense summer heat, with the “feels like” temperature rising higher than the actual readings. On Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and city weather reports indicate that Safdarjung, a key base station, records a maximum temperature of about 41.3°C. However, humidity makes conditions feel hotter: multiple outlets report that the heat index reached 48.4°C. Minimum temperatures are also elevated. Safdarjung’s minimum temperature is reported at around 30.8°C, above the seasonal average, while other monitoring locations recorded similarly higher-than-normal overnight temperatures.
IMD forecasts, as cited across the reports, suggest that the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to remain in the roughly 39°C to 41°C range until Monday. From Monday onward, temperatures are expected to ease gradually to about 33°C to 35°C. The outlook also points to rain beginning from Monday, which is expected to bring relief from the ongoing heat and humidity. One outlet reports only trace rainfall activity, without indicating substantial precipitation before Monday.
