The awards also recognize “Iron Boy.” While “The Violinist” takes the main Cristal feature prize, Louis Clichy’s debut “Iron Boy” receives the audience award, and one outlet reports it sweeps three awards overall. In the short-category results, Variety reports that Don Hertzfeldt wins best short. The reports note that “The Violinist” competes against several high-profile titles, including “In Waves” and “Viva Carmen,” and that “Iron Boy” was already a Cannes hit before Annecy.
