Masked men break into the Bhopal home of former district judge Giribala Singh, an accused in the CBI-investigated death of actress-model Twisha Sharma, and flee with valuables, according to multiple reports. Giribala Singh and her advocate son Samarth Singh are already in judicial custody in the Twisha case. A CCTV video shows three masked suspects entering the first-floor bedroom in the early hours of June 28, using phone flashlights to search cupboards and drawers. Police say a patrol vehicle passed and a siren caused the intruders to panic and run away, and that one suspect was caught with a bag before it was later abandoned.

Police recover items including silver jewellery and documents, and report that a licensed firearm (a revolver) is among the recovered material. Some reports describe the revolver as belonging to Giribala Singh’s father and being registered in the name of her elder son, and others describe documents and jewellery as targeted. Two suspects are detained and questioned; burglars are described as still at large.

Separate from the burglary, courts continue to extend judicial custody of the two accused and consider CBI requests related to forensic work, including access to Samarth Singh’s locked laptop and collection of voice samples, while awaiting additional forensic findings from CFSL and other reports.
