Second seed Hazel Joshi, a 12-year-old from Rudrani Badminton Academy, continues a strong run at the 1st ACE Realty–Yonex Sunrise Maharashtra State Sub-junior (U-11 & U-13) Selection Badminton Tournament 2026. Held at the Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Mulund (West), the tournament is organised by the Maharashtra Badminton Association and Rudrani Badminton Academy, with joint conduct by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and Brihanmumbai Krida Ani Lalit Kala Pratisthan (BKLP).
In the Girls’ U-13 singles semi-finals, Hazel beats Rutva Pande 21-17, 21-11 to book a final against top seed Divisha Singh, who wins against Agrima Rana 21-18, 21-11. Hazel also advances in U-13 doubles, where she and partner Divisha defeat Manasvi Pawar and Shriya Kulkarni 21-16, 21-15. In mixed U-13 doubles, Hazel and Aadiraj Shetty overcome the unseeded pair of Mahi Rasal and Ishan Barudwale 21-14, 21-12. Earlier in the competition, Hazel had won her quarter-final matches in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
