A viral video from Arunachal Pradesh shows a motorcyclist surviving after a sudden landslide sweeps him away while he is crossing a rain-damaged mountain road in the Lower Siang district. The incident is reported to have occurred on June 28 in Siji village amid persistent monsoon rainfall. In the footage, the rider moves along a narrow, muddy stretch near a hillside before the slope collapses. The falling mass of mud, rocks and debris drags the rider and motorcycle downhill, with the slide later spilling into the Siji River below. Despite the intensity of the event, the biker escapes unharmed, and there are no reports of injuries from the incident.

Separately, the Times of India reports that monsoon conditions are affecting multiple parts of Arunachal Pradesh, with heavy rain triggering floods and landslides across at least a dozen districts. It says roads, bridges and homes are damaged and connectivity is disrupted, with rescue operations ongoing for people who are stranded. Authorities are also warning about continued risks as rivers run high and more landslides remain possible.
