Paramount has released the first trailer for “The Angry Birds Movie 3,” the next installment in the animated franchise. The film centers on Red, voiced by Jason Sudeikis, as he takes on fatherhood and faces what the trailer describes as his “greatest challenge yet.” Red navigates the trials of parenting while the story also includes stakes tied to saving the world, alongside familiar companions Chuck and Bomb. Multiple outlets describe the trailer as featuring comedic parenting moments, including a recurring gag involving a baby bird’s pee. The movie is scheduled for a December theatrical release, with at least some reporting placing it on December 23. The voice cast is described as large and celebrity-heavy. Alongside Sudeikis, the trailer includes Josh Gad and additional performers such as Danny McBride, Rachel Bloom, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Sam Richardson, Nikki Glaser, Lily James, and MrBeast, among others. Earlier entries in the franchise launched in 2016 (“The Angry Birds Movie”) and 2019 (“The Angry Birds Movie 2”), with the third film arriving about seven years after the second.
