Labour Party (LP) officials in Abia State say the party is well placed to win the 2027 general elections in the state. In separate reports, Abia LP Chairman Peter Azubuike asserts that LP would win a contest in Abia “if INEC conducts election today,” pointing to what he describes as strong grassroots support. He also argues that the party is more united and stronger than before, and that LP has the capacity to “sweep” Abia in 2027.
