White Plains Avenue in Quezon City is temporarily closed to vehicular traffic due to a rally happening Tuesday morning, according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). The MMDA said the road is shut as of 5:15 a.m. after protesters begin marching earlier in the morning. The MMDA estimates about 500 rallyists and 30 vehicles participated in the march from the Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) Corinthian Gardens gate, reaching White Plains Avenue around 3:48 a.m. The MMDA said Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel are on site to help maintain peace and order. MMDA staff are also managing traffic in and around the affected area to accommodate the closure and movement of the rally. The reports characterize the closure as temporary and linked directly to the ongoing activity, with traffic management and security measures in place at the location.
