Apple updates its Creator Studio apps with new AI features across Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro and related productivity tools. In the video editor, Final Cut Pro adds “Generate Captions,” which automatically creates subtitles from audio on-device. The update also introduces “Edit Detection,” which analyzes a rendered video and splits it back into the original timeline clips to support edit refinement and faster creation of shorter highlight clips. For visual effects work on the Mac, Final Cut Pro gains “Auto Mask,” designed to isolate and refine elements such as skin, hair, sky, foliage and clothing with hover-based adjustments rather than manual tracking. Color tools are also updated with improved “Color Match,” and trimming controls are expanded with more granular options.

On the image side, Pixelmator Pro receives AI image generation using natural language and a “Content Hub” for curated image browsing. Pixelmator Pro’s workflow expands with integrations that let users send frames from Final Cut Pro for thumbnail/social graphics and open images from Keynote, Numbers and Pages for editing that saves back to the original documents. Logic Pro adds a rebuilt “Chord ID,” with improved accuracy and quicker responses from Session Players, and both Logic Pro and MainStage gain a new granular sync mode in Alchemy.
