A passenger bus traveling from Haridwar (reported as Rishikesh in some accounts) to Indore crashes with a truck/trailer on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district early Wednesday. Multiple outlets report that the bus goes out of control after the impact, plunges or falls into a roadside gorge, and catches fire shortly after the collision. Reports also say the accident happens around 2:30–3:30 a.m. under the Kolwa police station limits near a rest area.

Casualty figures vary slightly by outlet: NDTV reports seven deaths and more than 20 injuries; Mint cites seven deaths and at least 15 injuries; Free Press Journal and its agency content describe at least two deaths in one segment and later references to seven deaths, with around 19–22 injured. Several sources describe many passengers as asleep at the time of the crash, with injuries including women and children. Rescue teams, fire tenders, police, and ambulance services respond quickly, contain the blaze, and evacuate injured passengers to the District Hospital in Dausa, with some critically hurt referred to higher medical centers.

Police seize vehicles involved and investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
