Sony has launched the Alpha 7R VI full-frame mirrorless camera in India, after its global debut in May. The company positions the camera for professional photographers and filmmakers. The Alpha 7R VI features a 66.8-megapixel full-frame stacked CMOS sensor paired with Sony’s BIONZ XR2 image processor. It supports continuous shooting up to 30 frames per second with blackout-free performance, according to Sony. For video, the camera offers 8K recording, with support for up to 30p.

On the stabilization and imaging performance claims, Sony states the camera provides up to 8.5 stops of in-body image stabilisation. Other reported imaging enhancements include improved autofocus and tracking. In India, the camera is priced at Rs 4,70,990, and sales begin on July 3. One outlet also reports a promotional offer for early buyers, including a free NP-SA100 battery.
