A jury at Ireland’s Central Criminal Court has found Riad Bouchaker, 52, guilty of attempting to murder three children following a knife attack in Dublin in November 2023. The attack led to public outrage in the city and triggered rioting in Dublin.
The court also found the defendant guilty of multiple related offences. Alongside the attempted murder charges, the jury convicted Bouchaker of assault causing serious harm to a childcare worker, Leanne Flynn. He was further found guilty of assaulting two other children and a teenager during the same incident.
