The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) continues to keep its online member and employer services offline as it carries out a planned upgrade of its claims processing system and database consolidation. After an initial schedule that had expected restoration by June 29 and later updates pushing the deadline to July 1 and July 2, EPFO again extends the outage. According to a notice on the EPFO portal and an announcement on the EPFO’s X account, member and employer services are scheduled to resume at 00:00 hours on July 3, 2026.
The disruption affects key online functions used by subscribers and employers, including PF claim submissions, e-passbook access and claim tracking. EPFO states the outage is linked to its system migration process that began on June 26, aimed at consolidating databases and upgrading software supporting claims processing. EPFO also notes that the upgrade is intended to improve the digital experience for users. While the outage persists, members and employers are unable to access the affected services until the restoration timeline set for July 3.
