Hyderabad police arrest two men over an alleged scheme in which beef is supplied to hotels and passed off as mutton. According to police, Mohd Osman, owner of Osman Meat Shop, and Mohd Jahangir Pasha, identified as a worker at Ayan Beef Shop, are held in connection with the case. Investigators say the meat supply included items suspected to be mixed with beef and that it was being marketed to city hotels under the label of mutton. Police seized about 50 kg of meat during the operation, which they describe as suspected to have been blended with beef. The matter is now under further investigation. The accused are handed over to Habeeb Nagar Police Station for the next stage of questioning and legal proceedings. The case is being treated as an alleged adulteration and misrepresentation of meat sold to food establishments.
