Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) announces that it will waive InstaPay transfer fees for customers using its RCBC Pulz digital banking app starting July 4, 2026. The bank says clients can transfer funds to other local banks via InstaPay for free, with the fee waiver applying to the first 30 InstaPay transactions each month. A minimum transfer amount of PHP 100 per transaction is required for the waived transactions. Both outlets report that the initiative is part of a broader trend among banks reducing or eliminating digital interbank transfer charges as competition in digital payments intensifies. The reports also note that RCBC’s move follows similar actions by other lenders, including BPI, which has also announced fee waivers for InstaPay and PESONet transactions starting earlier in the period. RCBC’s announcement is communicated through its social media channels, directing customers to use the RCBC Pulz app to avail of the free InstaPay transfers within the stated monthly and minimum transfer limits.
