According to the alerts, a high tide around 4.26–4.27 metres is expected at about 2:50 pm today, prompting advisories to follow official guidance.
Multiple reports also reference an India Meteorological Department (IMD) heavy-rain forecast for Mumbai, with AccuWeather warning of continued heavy showers. Effects of the weather include waterlogging in parts of the city and minor disruptions to rail services. One report adds that a fatal accident involving a manhole is linked to the rain-related conditions. Officials urge people to stay away from the sea-front and vulnerable areas during the tidal peak and to take precautions as rainfall intensity remains high.
