According to reports, the RTO conducts a special enforcement drive against illegal passenger transport on June 23. During the drive, an instance is reported where a ride is booked through the Rapido app, with a passenger arranging a bike journey from Ravi Bhavan to Priyadarshini Colony for ₹22.
The NDTV report states that the RTO registers the complaint on the grounds that the alleged operations amount to petrol bike taxi services carried out without government approval, in violation of transport regulations.
