A purported Snapchat screenshot claiming to involve Siya Goyal has gone viral on social media, amid the ongoing investigation into the alleged murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal. Multiple reports say the message allegedly shows Goyal asking a friend to send the “front and back” photos of an Aadhaar card, stating it is needed for booking “wedding tickets” for a wedding that was “never going to happen.” The screenshot is being discussed in the context of Goyal’s reported engagement to Agarwal, whose planned marriage was said to have been scheduled for November.
The viral claim comes days after a Pune court remands Goyal, 20, and her alleged partner Chetan Chaudhary, 22, to 14 days of judicial custody, following their earlier remand. Prosecutors had argued for more time in police custody to question the accused after investigators recovered chats containing alleged coded language from mobile phones, including a second recovered device, police are also examining.
Neither outlet reports independent verification of the screenshot’s authenticity, and investigating agencies have not officially confirmed the contents or whether the alleged chat forms part of the evidence being assessed.
