The venue for the fourth UPT20 League remains undecided as talks continue between sports officials and the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). According to reports, a Kanpur MP has announced that matches would return to Green Park. However, the UPCA has indicated that the venue may not be suitable in its current state, citing infrastructure concerns. These include aging facilities and inadequate floodlighting, which the UPCA says could affect meeting required standards for the tournament.
In light of these issues, the UPCA is considering an alternative at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium. While the shift is being discussed, sources note that no final hosting arrangement has been confirmed yet. Further deliberations between the parties are expected to determine where the tournament will be held, with a decision pending additional discussions on logistics and compliance with infrastructure requirements.
