The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) says Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, should be viewed as a whistleblower rather than a suspect in the controversy over a fake Federal Government agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). AYCF backs the Presidency’s account that Gbajabiamila raised the alarm after uncovering suspicious activities linked to the non-existent agency. The Presidency says Gbajabiamila alerted the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force through a formal letter dated October 17, 2025, following complaints from the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC). It also alleges that Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi masterminded the scam by forging official documents, creating a fake government agency, and obtaining unauthorized office space at the Federal Secretariat. According to the Presidency, Gbajabiamila provided evidence including allegedly forged appointment letters with falsified signatures and seals. AYCF praises Gbajabiamila’s prompt intervention and urges Nigerians not to politicize the matter, describing Adeyemi as a repeat offender. The forum also calls for patience as legal proceedings continue, with Adeyemi’s trial reported to be scheduled for July 27, 2026.
