The Kwankwasiyya Movement is urging the Nigerian Presidency to provide a full and transparent explanation regarding allegations involving the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). In statements reported by multiple outlets, the group says the issue has shifted from being linked to an individual to becoming a test of public accountability and government credibility. The movement points to claims that the Presidency maintains PFIPC does not exist, while it alleges that more than N1 billion was allocated to an entity with the same or a similar name in the 2026 Appropriation Act. The movement is asking how such an allocation appears in the national budget, including who proposed and approved it, which offices processed the related documentation, and whether any public funds were released. It also calls for a comprehensive account from the Presidency and asks the National Assembly and anti-corruption agencies to carry out an independent investigation. The group frames its position as governance-focused, stating that unanswered or inconsistent responses could deepen public distrust. It further calls for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
