A sleeper bus overturns on the Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh, killing one passenger and injuring more than 30 others, according to multiple reports. The incident occurs near Budaun after the bus’s tyre bursts suddenly. Police say the driver loses control and the vehicle flips multiple times before coming to rest on the opposite lane.

Authorities report that one person dies at the scene. Over 30 passengers are injured and are taken to nearby hospitals. Several passengers are described as seriously hurt; six are reported to be in critical condition and are referred for advanced treatment. Senior Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma is cited as confirming the tyre burst and the location of the incident near the 202-kilometre mark on the expressway.

The injured passengers receive medical care as the local administration and police coordinate the response and follow-up actions.
