Korean sales company Finecut has concluded additional international distribution deals for Hong Sangsoo’s “The Day She Returns.” The film, the Korean director’s 34th feature, premieres at the Berlin International Film Festival in the Panorama strand, marking Hong Sangsoo’s seventh consecutive year with a film invited to the festival.

According to multiple outlets, Finecut’s new agreements include sales to Carlotta Films in France and Atalante in Spain, as well as to Hugoeast in China. Other reported buyers include The Cinema Guild, among additional territories covered by the wider rollout. The reports describe the deals as part of Finecut’s broader international packaging for the Berlin title, with contracts announced across several markets rather than a single-region launch.

All sources credit Finecut with arranging the sales and identify the film’s Berlin Panorama premiere and Hong’s ongoing presence at the festival as key context for the negotiations.
