Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, calls on aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to reconcile and work together ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement, he urges party members to accept the outcome of the party’s recent primaries and “sheathe their swords,” following protests in Akure. Members critical of the primaries allege that the National Working Committee’s list of National Assembly candidates does not reflect the actual results, prompting unrest within the party.

Ipinsagba emphasizes that unity is necessary for the APC’s future electoral success, including the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and APC candidates at both state and national levels. He commends Tinubu for what he describes as leadership and fairness during the nomination process, which he says reflects party cohesion.

The senator also thanks delegates, grassroots mobilisers, youths, women and supporters who backed him during the primaries and his period in the Senate. He pledges to remain available to constituents and to continue advocating policies aimed at socio-economic development, youth and women empowerment, and improved infrastructure in the district.
