The Election Commission of India publishes provisional draft electoral rolls for Odisha, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim, along with an additional update covering a Union Territory under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. After the enumeration phase, large numbers of voter entries are removed from the draft lists. In Odisha, more than 20 lakh names are deleted from the draft electoral roll, with reporting attributing most deletions to voter migration. In another set of SIR draft rolls across four states and one UT, the overall deletion rates vary.
