The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) releases the KCET/UGCET 2026 Round 1 final seat allotment results on its counselling portal cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates who participated in the first round can check their allotment by logging in with their application number and password (some updates also reference using a CET number, depending on the specific login flow on the site). The allotment is prepared using candidates’ merit, reservation category, the preferences submitted during counselling, and available seats.
Ahead of the final result, KEA publishes a Round 1 mock seat allotment and keeps an option-editing window open for candidates to revise submitted preferences. Reported timelines place option modification from July 6 to July 9, with the choice entry portal having been closed after candidates completed the option entry process.
KEA also provides guidance for the next steps, including how to download and print the allotment order and follow the counselling and reporting schedule. According to one source, seats under sports quota are not allotted in the first round because eligible candidates’ lists are still awaited, and are expected to be addressed in a later round. The current round covers admissions to professional courses, excluding medical, dental, AYUSH and pharmacy programmes.
